Visit in Baan Nai Rai
Baan Nai Rai is a muslim village below Kau Lak beach. The people live from fishing or work as day workers. The people of Baan Nai Rai lost mostly everything. They all survived except an older women. When the Tsunami hit the village was nearly empty except of some women and children. Most of the people were at work or in school.
I met with Benz and Yui. They lead the rebuilding program and are also leaders in the Phang Nga church. To evangelize openly in Baan Nai Rai is not an option and to start a church in a traditional sense is not possible. This a work where the love of God is being shown in a very practical way without strings attached. The love shown through service goes deeper and a environment of trust is being build. This is the foundation to share Jesus with the people. There is no instant church-planting, but hard work.
